Third Request to PLaza Abt Job Description & Visa/Permit Inquiry

Thanks for sending me the messages.


Herewith I inform you that though all your correspondence is thoroughly passed to interested people by publishing it on the, the job announcement is incomplete for some reasons stated in the messages sent to you on the matter, dd of June 24-27, 2007.


I would like to restate the questions mentioned in the above communications, which must be clarified, as follows:


1. Job Descriptions (i.e. Rights, Obligations and Responsibilities of the Parties – Employer and Employee), gross earnings and net pay for the positions of : – Sales Managers (catering, food, beverages), – Security Officers (day and night), – Laundry, – Cleaners. This information is a must for a Labour/Employment Contract/Agreement (Contract).


2. Exact need of the Hotel in Employees by positions (a breakdown).


3. Rules, regulations and instructions of the hotel you’ve mentioned the Employees should comply with.


4. An authorized person to act for communication, negotiation and signing the Contracts on behalf of Eden Plaza Hotel in London, name, title and other references.


5. Send us the Contract form. Otherwise I will send you mine, because the Contract is a must for getting the work permit.


6. The Plaza Hotel will organize the work permit getting and will pay for it and other involved expenses or fees (visa etc.) at its expense. This means that we will send to the Hotel Plaza in London (68-69 Queens Gate) all the documents that you will inform us to send, which the hotel will use for getting the work permit and other necessary documents. The hotel will process all data from our documents and will send it to the Immigration office for getting work permits. Besides that, the hotel must guarantee to undertake all necessary measures to succeed in getting all necessary documents. With that purpose, please visit

You must KNOW that I CANNOT apply for the work permit directly – ‘You cannot apply directly for a work permit. The employer in the UK who wants to employ you must do this. Please be informed, that there is no group in Ukraine desiring to work for the hotel Eden Plaza in London, right now, thus there is no grope leader to sign a group Contract. Though several people people got interested in the mentioned above jobs, when I told them about that and who checked the job announcement themselves, but hesitate for not having got any job descriptions or a Contract yet and we will sign the Contracts for just a year long period of employment.


Thus, please send us the Employment a Contract form as specific as possible and answer the mentioned questions, otherwise we cannot come to any clear agreement with you.

Eden Plaza Hotel (London) Labour Contract Terms

Dear Mr. Crane!

I have received your Letter of Agreement, though we are waiting for a Contract, as promised. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Please confirm that the Letter of Agreement is sent just for instance and doesn’t cancel our previous agreement, which we agreed upon in the previous e-messages of June, as following:
– “accommodation, travel and other costs or fees will be born by Eden Plaza hotel solely, without any attempt of “deducting %s or money from the Workers (Employees) monthly or other salary/wages or revenues (salary)”,

– “any travel, visa or work permit fees or other expenses involved will be born solely by Eden Plaza hotel, without any compensation from the Employee’s salary”.

You should also inform us about the mentioned “rules, regulations and instructions as given or stated by the Management” prior signing any agreement or Contract. Otherwise the part of the agreement is considered to be invalid.

At first and foremost, any contract that doesn’t include all the particularities is invalid since the very signing date, thus any omission of the Labour Contract’s (Contract) terms/conditions (terms) will harm Eden Plaza, and what is worse can harm us, because we’ve handed the announcement over to interested potential Ukrainian Employees, and are responsible for your reliability too.

Thus, please elaborate the Contract terms to prevent from incurring losses on your and our side in case you hire people on the terms as provided for in the Letter of Agreement.

Please note, that if you stuck into the Agreement’s conditions and be persistent with them, we will pass it to the workers. Then, be informed, that we escape from any responsibility for any further actions of workers that you will employ through us. It is provided for in rulings, that our Employees are under our jurisdiction. Thus, be informed, that Ukraine (where the Employees originate from) doesn’t acknowledge blank contracts. In this case, having hired our Employees you will actually have No Contract at all. All the Employees’ rights will be protected in their whole scope as provided for by the legislation of Ukraine, which is the only one applicable to employment of Ukrainians.


If you agree to work further on these conditions, we will immediately fetch the workers to you signing any letters without validity you desire.


Please confirm, that you’ve received the message and provide us with contract as for your local (the United Kingdom of Great Britain) people, fully elaborated, and confirm that having employed our people on the grounds of the given Letter of Agreement, you realize that you will employ them without any agreement besides the terms and conditions you provided us with in the advertising through the Internet, having sent it directly on our personal message boxes, which we made public with your consent.

5 Reasons to Plan a Career and Develop ‘Second Chance’ Skills

1. Questions of Luck and the Second Chance in Career Building.

Building careers is rather a question of planning than of accident, but luck can make you change the track, that can give you the second chance, from which you can start building something new and exciting, that you probably didn’t plan seriously before. Luck and second chance raise many questions. Can you be successful in life as well as millions of people around? Is it possible to rely solely on your luck while looking for better choices in work and life and not planning anything about this? How much does the luck add to achieving the aim? Is it sane to wait for charity from the fate? Why is it necessary to develop skills which you rarely use in professional activity?

2. Career Planning is Inherent to Success.

Career is a structure we build ourselves. When we build something there must be a result. A career includes our target – worthy work or income, and the track we suppose to bring us to the target – education, raise and promotion. What we need is accumulated efforts in studying a specific trade and developing our skills. The only way you can achieve success is to set a target, choose and adhere the most optimal ways to get there and succeed. Thus, planning and building your specific track is the most optimal way to succeed.

3. Try a Braided Career, or a Second Chance, if Not Satisfied With the Present Work.

We are dissatisfied with work because of a bad boss, low salary or dump colleagues etc. Penelope Trunk, who is a very interesting writer, advises people to become happier in their lives by quitting works every 2 years and devote more time to their personal lives, rather than to work. For example, you can get a corporate job for a short time to earn money and then to take a backpack and a slipping bag. She assures that this will make you feel unstable. Rather you will get much fun and experience which will become invaluable. She applied her own life as instance of a nice braided career. She was a volley-ball player, than an officer, a vice-president, run her own business, failed and now she is a successful writer. It seems that planning is not applicable to the Braided Careers in Braided Career by Penelope Trunk.

Thus, her life is a very good example of not planning anything in your life to be successful, isn’t it? No, it isn’t!

4. Braided Careerists Thoroughly Plan Their Second Chance! Even Unintentionally.

Thus, apologists of not planning careers do plan! Even if it seems they do it unintentionally.
If you study biography of P.Trunk, you will see that she didn’t stop writing all her life, and that’s how she unintentionally planned her second chance, developing her writing skills until she had enough time and skills to write professionally.

Let’s take another good, but not rare, instance of thorough planning a spare chance. My favorite actress Charlize Theron will do. She grew up at farm in Africa. She had being training ballet for 12 yrs before her mother sent her to become a model in Italy. A year later she shifted her career and decided to move to NY to become a ballet dancer. After a trauma she shifted again, being well supported by her mother, to CA – to try chance of becoming an actress. Having 2 desperate years spent in CA, she run into someone very famous and rich who helped who to start her actress career with the first honorary of $ 10 mn. Good example. Especially if to take into account that she was very fond of playing different characters at her farm!

5. Be Determined to Plan Everything, Even a Spare Chance.

I’ve written in my comments to Penelope that ‘building career, affording material things, long-time and long journeys or happy retirement if the ‘braided career’ is applied’ – Might Not Happen, if a person has no plan.

Thus, plan you career and spare chances or expect your luck, if you wish to have a saving raft of additional experience or skills, when you need to change your career for different reasons. Never stop developing your skills and varying them, this will help to plan even for unexpected occurrences. Your additional skills will always help you use the Second Chance!

1. Plan Your Writing Activity.
Plan your main, professional or personal activities, and intertwine them with writing so that no emergency would have influenced your ability to write according to the plan.
2. Cut Down Your Projects.
Make your projects short and interesting so that you wouldn’t get bored because of writing.
3. Study to Accelerate Yourself.
Writing demands good knowledge of a subject. Thus, study as much of it as possible first. When you’re bored, start writing immediately. You will see how the quick shift of activities will release all the studied material in the flow of good writing.
4. Don’t Interrupt Your Writing Flow.
When writing, keep writing without noticing how good or bad is your grammar or spelling. Just write and fix what’s written later.
5. Don’t Press Yourself. Find Some Joy!
Your mind is a machine that needs a special treatment for specific actions. When you communicate to children, your thoughts must be kind and loving to make the children believe you and love you. When you communicate to readers by means of writing, you must shine with the same light – to make you readers believe you.
6. Put Some Jokes Into Writing.
When you joke, it makes writing easier and funny. Even mocking will do. You will remove the jokes if they are inappropriate, later on.
7. Write Every Day.
This is very easy to write an hour a day. If you have a 5-hour writing assignment, you will make it without spending any separate hour from your days off. Besides that, you will not lose your skills.
8. Choose As Many Topics As Possible.
Writing on different topics will make you a better professional and will improve your personal skills. You will get prepared to perform different assignments and list of your writings will be a proof thereto.
9. Develop Chosen Topics to Their ‘Bottom’.
A writer must elaborate topics in full. This means that you can find different ways of application for your writing or the subject to which the writing is devoted. For example, you can write on  marketing and  make up a good logo for a business that you can sell to an entrepreneur etc.
10. Find Out All About Your Niche.
You can choose writing articles for magazines, edit them, write books and reviews. Whatever you do, you should find out all about one subject.
